Super Lance

We have been doing a lot of cleaning at our rental home in Provo lately. For about a full week I was there every day for many hours scrubbing and cleaning, then I would go home and make dinner for Michael and then Kathy would put Lance and Afton to bed while Michael and I went back to the house to paint and clean.

Long story short, we were renting to some single guys who sublet the house to a family for 6 weeks. What we didn't know is that they were going to bring all of their extended family, trash the house, spray red soda on every wall, ceiling, and square foot of carpet, smear peanut butter over all the walls, color on the nice wood furniture and walls with permanent marker, and smoke inside the house so everything would need to be replaced.... I think they broke every rule in the lease that they signed...

So, Michael and I scrubbed down every wall, repainted most of the house, cleaned all the couches, beds, and window covering. And ripped out and replaced the carpet throughout the entire house.

It was a nightmare. The people never paid a deposit and just disappeared one day... so, needless to say we were very anxious to get everything "back to normal" looking/smelling good so we could quickly rent it again.

As sad as this story is, at least I got a couple of good pictures...
