Hebgen 2010

Hebgen is always so fun. It is a time when we all get to escape from the regular world and go up and enjoy the beauty of big Montana Sky.

We stayed in Hebgen II this year and had such a great time. The kids LOVED hanging out their their cousins and playing at the "beach" and in the water.

Uncle Kyle took Lance and Afton on the Paddle Boat and they LOVED it! Nana took Lance on a couple of Jet Ski rides, and Papa snuggled with Afton in the boat while we watched everyone behind the boat. It's so great to be able to spend time with our family!

Michael and Lance even went "fish hunting" on the canoe where they went out into the water searching for jumping fish.

We had a really fun time doing activities throughout the week including: Olympics, Treasure Hunt, and of course, S'mores on the fire.

We took out our boat every day and went skiing, wake surfing, and wake boarding. Michael landed his back flip on his new Ronix wake board!!! It was so awesome!

Afton was so adorable and for the first few days of our trip was so attached to Michael. She was always hanging on his legs and wanting him to hold her, and she would cry when he would walk too far away. She would hold his scruffy face in her little hands and look in his eyes saying, "Daddy! Daddy!" It was easy to see how much she treasured being with him and how pleasantly surprised she was to be able have him with her all day!

I think the reason I love Hebgen so much is because of all the time we get to spend together as a family. Now that I have a family of my own, and time with Michael is so precious, it was really amazing to be able to spend 8 days together without any work, or phone calls, or car repairs, or anything that kept us from being together.

I have so many wonderful memories of Hebgen and feel so lucky that my children get to experience it too.
