I now understand what the Lord has been trying to prepare me for, and not just the fact that we will soon be a family of 5... there have been so many changes going on and they have just fallen into our laps! The Lord's hand has most definitely been placing things in our path.
For example:
We found a buyer for our Provo house... without much effort on our part... a CASH buyer in our price range who would even let our current tenants finish up their lease (amazing)! Wow!
My Aunt Christine Segura happened to tell us about her next door neighbor's home in Highland that was going into foreclosure. It just happens to be our dream house in an incredible neighborhood... elementary school down the street, in a cul-de-sac, beautiful new home with a huge yard and plenty of space to grow, and surrounded by wonderful, fun, families (my aunt and uncle love the neighborhood). When we walked through it we loved everything about it!
The home was scheduled to go to auction, and seemed to be much too expensive for what we could afford. My aunt Christine talked to her neighbor and found out that she needs a Real Estate Agent and asked if Michael could give her a call. He called Angela (the owner) and became her agent! He stopped her home from going to auction (which is really good for her) and put in an offer for our family! We don't know if this house will be our next "home", but we feel good about the direction we are taking so we are going to give it a try.
We know that us actually getting this home in Highland is a long-shot because we aren't able to spend a ton of money on a house like this, but decided to post our current home in Pleasant Grove for rent just to see if there was any interest in it. We have always planned that whenever we sold the Provo House we would put the money of the sale of that home toward a more "long term home" for us, so we thought that now was as good a time as any to look around.
We found a great family who wanted to move in right away and suprisingly we felt really peaceful about it. As crazy as everything seemed, we felt really good about moving out of our home and into the unknown future! We actually signed a Lease Agreement with the new tenants for our PG house and then moved out 2 DAYS LATER! It was CRAZY and we couldn't have done it without all the help from our ward friends and family.... THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to all those who helped us out so much on such short notice!
So, now being homeless and not sure where we are going to end up, my brother and his wife offered to let us move into their house in Lehi that is currently vacant. They are letting us stay here for an incredible deal while we figure out what the Lord has in store for us! Thank you John and Christine!
All of these pictures are of our PG House. We loved that house and our neighbors. We have been very sad to leave, but know it is the right thing for us right now.
