Halloween!

Halloween is always full of fun parties and events!

The few days before Halloween I was really busy sewing like crazy! I had a lot of things to alter and add to Lance's costume and still had Afton's bunny costume to make! I ended up staying up until 1am working on the bunny costume, but finally got them finished!

The reason I decided to have Afton be a bunny this year because I think her little, chubby cheeks and big, brown eyes just NEEDED to be in a bunny costume! When I was young my Mom made me a very similar costume that was white and pink. I just couldn't resist and really hoped that it would turn out as cute as I had it pictured in my mind. =)

Trick-Or-Treating at the Office

We started on Halloween Eve by Trick-Or-Treating at Michael's office. This is a standing tradition for Brady's companies and we always enjoy seeing the children and adults all dressed up and eating candy. Thanks Brady and Terri!

Michael and I love our Spiderman-Lance and Afton-Bunny!

Ahh! Watch out for Spidey's webs! Lance told me that because he was Spider Man he was going to save the world. I asked him what Afton would do. He thought about it for a little while and said, "I will save the world, and Afton will hop. Hop like a bunny."

Even just looking at this picture makes me want to kiss my little bunny's cute chubby cheeks!

HaLLoWeeN CarnEvil

Later that evening we got a babysitter to watch the kids and Michael and I went to my sister's unbelievable HaLLoWeeN CarnEvil! Her house was decked out with awesome deocrations, the lights were dimmed and all had a red hue, there was tons of food and drinks, and even more people totally decked out in creative, crazy, awesome, funny costumes! There were so many people there that the police actually made a little visit around 1am and asked everyone to go home (every amazing party is always broken up by the cops, right?).

Thanks Katie for throwing an awesome party and giving Michael and I an excuse to pretend that we are young and crazy college students again!

Okay, here is the explaination of our costumes....

Michael: An old, rich, dead man.
Camille: A young, gold-digging woman.

I love diamonds and gold and living a life of ease and comfort. Of course I deserve these things and I just happened to fall in love with a man with A LOT of money. We fell in love and married soon after meeting. Unfortunately my rich old husband died suddenly (with a few bruises around his neck) only 2 short weeks after we got married. Now everything he owned was left to me (hahaha!).

Soup, Pictures, and Trick-Or-Treating

It has been tradition in the Covey family for many, many years to have the family over to my parents home (which used to include much of the extended famiy as well) to dress up, eat homemade soup in breadbowls, and take lots of fun pictures before all the kids raced off to go trick-or-treating.

Elvis showed off his famous dance moves at Katie's party and at the Covey gathering! Oww-Oww!

Elvis Jacob and Bunny Afton

Papa and Spiderman. Lance really loves his Papa!

This year we enjoyed Mom's amazing Creamy Vegitable and Hamburger Soups, Christine's delicious homemade breadbowls, and of course lots of laughs and fun memories made with our crazy costumes, music, and dancing in the kitchen.

The Grandparents with their Spidey and Bunny. Lance wasn't a huge fan of Nana's witch costume. They were outside together and he said to her, "No costumes in the house Nana." HaHa! Lance sometimes says the funniest things!

The Mommy with her snuggly bunny. (As a side thought, if I could be any animal - I would choose a bunny. A cute, snuggly, bunny that was constantly loved and held by an adoring child.)

I just love my family and think that they are truly the best! They are always the one's I want to be with. I am so lucky to have such a fun, tallented, loving family.
