The "Angry Sea"

We went boating with some of the Engstrom family and it was quite an adventure! We had Bitty, Claire and Nephi, Addy, and Benson as well as Michael and I, Lance, and Afton.



It was a lot of fun, but also scary because the waves got so BIG! Michael wanted to go wake surfing and wake boarding... which means that I had to drive!!! Driving is always a little frightening for me, but this time it was Very Scary!!! The waves were HUGE and I was honestly worried about soaking the inside of the boat and everyone in it!



Fortunately Michael got all of his boarding out of the way before the water got Really bad. It was at this point that Nephi decided he wanted to "ride the waves" like a cowboy would ride a bucking bronco! He did an incredible job and we were all amazed that he was able to keep holding on!



Those of us in the boat were getting completely soaked and were holding up towels over our heads to protect us from the "angry sea" (as Michael put it. While speaking in his pirate tongue, of course). Because Michael was driving he didn't get any such protection. This picture doesn't do it justice, but he was completely wet and was just getting beaten in the face with water from the waves the entire way!
