St. George Mud Men

The day after the reception all the family decided to go play tennis at a nearby park.

I got to be on "kid patrol" and walked the children over to the park. We actually never quite made it to the park because about 30 feet before the slides and swings was an area with nice red dirt and mud.

Lance plopped right down and started digging. He and Afton had a great time getting messy and Lance even created a "Mud Man"! He made a little man by stacking 3 balls on top of each other and then making arms on the sides! He was so proud of himself when he came to show me and said, "Look! Look Mommy! I made a snowman!" We talked about how snowmen are made out of snow, and this little man was made of out mud, so Lance changed its title to "Mud Man".

We then worked on making more brothers and sisters for the Mud Man (per Lance's request) and ended up with a whole family of Mud People!

The original "Mud Man" Lance made is the one on the far left (right after the 2 Mud Balls). Pretty good, huh?

It was a lot of fun and right up my alley. I love doing stuff like that and probably had just as much fun creating that little Mud Family as Lance did! =)
