Seconds after our little boy was born.
Lance was born at 4:26pm on Sunday September 17. The labor and delivery went really well and Lance and I are both healthy and doing great! Michael was there holding my hand the entire time and was able to give Lance his first bath just a few minutes after he was born.
Michael seemed to know just how to take care of our new baby.
We feel so blessed and can not believe that this beautiful little boy is ours to keep forever! We have been so excited anticipating his arrival and are so happy that he is a healthy little boy. He is the cutest little thing and looks a lot like his daddy when he was a newborn. His eyes are still the "baby grey" so we are not yet sure if they will be green like his dad or brown like his mom. He has quite a bit of dark brown hair and is just perfect… not to mention the cutest baby ever born! =)
Proud father. Michael bathed, diapered, dressed and swaddled his son while I watched with pride and love.
Michael was able to take 2 full days off of work to be with me in the hospital and has now gone back to work to support our new little family. He is going to take 2 more days off next week when we go up to Utah to visit our families and introduce them to little Lance. Lance will only be 2 weeks old when he takes his first ride on an airplane! I am doing well and loving my role as a mother. I get to spend all day (and most all of the night) with Lance and can't get enough. Michael and I both agree that we could just sit and gaze at him all day!
